Baby spinach is my go-to green — it blends smoothly into recipes without an overpowering flavor. I keep a large container on hand to toss into pastas, salads, and smoothies like this pineapple-spinach green smoothie. It’s simple, refreshing, and perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Green smoothies are popular for good reason. This recipe masks the spinach flavor completely, so all you taste is sweet pineapple and banana with a creamy vanilla yogurt base.

My philosophy: every smoothie benefits from a banana and yogurt. The banana adds natural sweetness and creaminess, while vanilla Greek yogurt makes the texture silky and boosts protein and calcium. I usually use low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt for a good balance of flavor and nutrition.

This smoothie is a hit with kids — watching the blender turn the ingredients green makes it fun. It’s a far better snack than processed fruit snacks and keeps little ones satisfied longer.

We often make this mid-morning. My daughter helps measure and add the ingredients, then presses the blender button. Grandparents gifted special smoothie cups that the kids love, so I hand them half and keep the rest.
