If you’ve tried variations like Milky Way Muddy Buddies, Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies, Nutella Muddy Buddies, or Cake Batter Muddy Buddies, you know how addictive this snack can be. Muddy Buddies come together quickly and tend to disappear even faster.
This version was made for a virtual baby shower for a dear blog friend, Mandy from Mandy’s Recipe Box. Mandy was one of the first friends I made while blogging. She’s kind, talented, and takes beautiful food photos. Although we haven’t met in person yet, I already know we’d hit it off. Since Mandy is keeping her baby’s gender a surprise, I wanted a treat that would appeal to everyone attending the shower.
I also wanted a themed Valentine’s treat. When I think of Valentine’s Day, chocolate-covered strawberries come to mind: romantic, elegant, and irresistible. I decided to turn that classic flavor into Muddy Buddies, and the result was fantastic. Even my husband, who isn’t usually big on sweets, declared these his favorite Muddy Buddies yet and polished off a large portion in one sitting. I still have a soft spot for the Milky Way version, but these strawberry-chocolate Muddy Buddies are a close contender.
