How much Protein is in Cottage Cheese?
Cottage cheese is an excellent choice for anyone trying to increase daily protein intake. It’s relatively low in calories while offering a high protein yield, which can be rare among protein-rich foods. One cup of cottage cheese contains about 25 grams of protein, making it a powerful but versatile ingredient to boost protein in many recipes.

What else can I put Cottage Cheese in?
Cottage cheese works well in many dishes for several reasons:
- It’s protein-dense without being calorie-heavy.
- There are many low-fat varieties available.
- It has a mild, neutral flavor that blends with added ingredients, acting like a blank canvas for sweet or savory recipes.

How to make Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough?
This cottage cheese cookie dough is quick to prepare. Begin by blending cottage cheese with vanilla and your choice of sweetener until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in almond flour, protein powder, peanut butter and chocolate chips until fully combined. You can enjoy a spoonful straight from the fridge to curb cravings, or proceed to make the bark for a frozen treat.

Can I make cottage cheese cookie dough with oat flour?
In this recipe, almond flour is used because it adds protein and keeps the recipe gluten-free. Oat flour is a fine substitute if you prefer, but avoid using raw all-purpose flour in no-bake cookie dough recipes, as it can leave an unpleasant raw flour taste.

What is Cookie Dough Bark?
Cookie dough bark is a layered frozen treat that combines cookie dough with chocolate. You press cookie dough into a baking sheet, freeze it until firm, then pour melted chocolate over the top. Once the chocolate sets, break it into pieces and store in the freezer. A light sprinkle of sea salt on top brightens the flavor and adds a pleasant contrast.

Can I use Chocolate Protein powder for the cottage cheese cookie dough?
Yes. Any flavored protein powder will work well. Chocolate, strawberry, peanut butter or cookies-and-cream varieties can each create a different but delicious result depending on your preference.
What kind of Protein Powder should I use?
Protein powders vary in texture and flavor, which can change the final result. Choose a high-quality powder you enjoy tasting and that bakes or blends well. Use the flavor that best matches the taste you’re aiming for in the cookie dough.
